Register the Phone Number

  1. Go to Phone Numbers: In the Settings tab, select Phone Numbers.
  2. Add a US or Canadian Number: If you haven’t added one already, click Add Number to include a US or Canadian phone number.
  3. Open Trust Center: Once your number is added, navigate to the Trust Center to begin the A2P registration process.

Start A2P Registration

  1. Start Registration: Click Start Registering Now in the Trust Center.
  2. Brand Registration:
  • Confirm the legal business name and address, ensuring it matches the details you’ve entered in the Business Profile.
  • If you’re outside the US, select Yes for the tax ID option, and choose The business isn’t located in the US or Canada.
  • Click Continue to proceed with the registration.
  1. Authorized Representative: Ensure that the representative’s details are accurate, including updating the phone number to match the correct country code (e.g., UK number).

Select Messaging Options

  1. Choose Messaging Volume: Select Low Volume Standard or Low Volume Mixed based on your expected message volume.
  2. Provide Use Case Description: Clearly describe how you will use the number for messaging. For example, "The campaign will be used to reach out to customers who signed up for the updates via SMS."
  3. Submit Sample Messages: Provide sample messages that demonstrate how your SMS will be used, ensuring you include the authorized representative's first name and your company name. For example

Sample Message 1: “Hi John\! This is Jane from company\_name. Our appointment for July 20 11:00 AM is confirmed. Please reach out to +1(213) 725-2867 in case you need to reschedule. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” Sample Message 2: “Hey Brian\! This is Jane from company\_name. I see that you weren't able to make it for our appointment. Would you like to reschedule? - https://www.mycompany.com/book. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

1- Describe Opt-In Process: Explain how customers will opt-in to receive SMS messages, such as through a lead form or website sign-up, such as: “End users opt-in by visiting - https://www.mycompany.com/book and filling in their details. Users check a box to receive notifications & promotional messages to provide their consent. Additionally, end users can also text START to +1 (213) 725-2867.” 2- Create Opt-In Message: Draft a message that confirms a customer has successfully opted in, such as "You have successfully opted in to receive notification and promotional SMS from company\_name. Please reply STOP if you need to Opt-out in the future."

  1. Final Review: Double-check all the details you’ve entered for accuracy.
  2. Submit Registration: Click Submit to finalize the registration process.

  1. Processing Time: A2P registration approval can take up to 7 days, though it often completes within 3-4 days.
